Damiani Group continues to support new generations
Damiani Group continues to support the Leonardo Committee Degree Awards with a prize for the best thesis on new generations and their relationship with jewellery.
On 24th September, during the Giornata Qualità Italia (Italy Quality Day) held in Rome in the presence of President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, Giorgio Grassi Damiani, Vice President of Damiani Group, handed the award to Francesca Igini for her "careful analysis and experimental approach to developing the assigned theme but, above all, for the particular attention paid to the ethical and sustainable challenges that the jewelry sector is currently facing."
«It is an honor to be able to award this scholarship and give a sign of support to young talent: the driving force of our future. At a time of great change such as the present, advanced training, ongoing research and the ability to interpret changes in the jewelry and luxury goods market can only be considered key strategic elements for introducing innovation and development into companies.
Although we operate on an international scale, we have been a family business for three generations: generational encounter, a fundamental key in our training model, on the one hand ensures that the historicity and identity of the brand are always a strong point, while on the other, the contribution of new ideas, new approaches and new knowledge ensures that interpreting this great legacy is always in step with the times.
Higher education, combined with a mutual exchange of experience and heterogeneous training between the new generations and the older, more experienced resources, not only has an ethical value, but also helps to consolidate our business model.»
