New jewelry trends for autumn 2021
Mirror the social times we are living in by reflecting desires, needs and even fears. As usual, fashion does just that. From New York to Paris, passing through London and Milan, February was the month devoted to fashion shows for autumn 2021.
In a year marked by a global pandemic that forced a standstill in practically every sector, creativity and experimentation have, however, pressed on the accelerator, imagining new styles crisscrossed by an idealistic nomadism and the need for comfort and glamour. The desire to travel and go back to socializing are also evident in the jewelry selected to complete the various looks.
Good luck charms, maxi chains around the wrist and neck, earrings with a poetic or super sporty design. Gold and silver are often worn together, pearls and raw crystals are the chosen stones. As at every season lately, a special mention goes to Maison Schiaparelli. Daniel Roseberry, art director at the French fashion house, continues to propose jewelry strongly inspired by surrealism, extreme both in shape and audacity, pushing even further beyond the borders of “possible”.
